Chivas whisky, the economy innovator in European countries and Asia pacific

If there is a single whisky that is accepted across Asia pacific as a high quality scotch whisky then it must be the Chivas whisky. This premium whisky is produced by the Chivas borthers which therefore is owned and operated by Pernod Ricard. Chivas whisky at the moment is the industry leader in whiskies for 12 years or more. Chivas Regal Scotch whisky had been first created in the year 1801 in Aberdeen, Scotland at the Strathisla Distillery in the Speyside region of Scotland.

There is longer history behind this legendary drink. It had been launched by the Chivas brothers in the year 1801. They started out a shop that offered spices, Caribbean rum, coffee, and many other food products to prosperous buyers. In the year 1842 soon after the visit of Queen Victoria to Scotland they were asked to deliver goods to the royal family at Balmoral Castle. And in the year 1843 they were given the sought after royal warrant to supply commodities to the Queen.

As their status progressed, shoppers often wealthy and affluent, would ask them to offer smooth whisky. Therefore, in the year 1850 James Chivas started out to mix whiskies to produce smooth whisky that would meet his affluent consumers taste. He created a proprietary brand Chivas Brothers and created the first blended with scotch whisky “Royal Glen Dee. This had been eventually accompanied by another whisky the “Royal Strathythan”.

By the early 1900s the economy in the U.S was basically growing and to capture this market the Chivas brothers opted to make an aged whisky and it had been given its name Chivas Regal. In the year 1909 Chivas Regal 25 year old had been introduced and premium brand and quickly caught the imagination of the Americans. They persisted to enjoy awesome success till prohibition put a spoke in the wheel in 1920.
